When searching for a Toronto professional photographer, it’s important to choose a style that resonates with you. My approach blends lifestyle photography and photojournalism, allowing me to capture both authentic, unscripted moments and gently guided, posed portraits. I would describe my style as vivid, intimate, timeless, and rooted in visual storytelling. I focus on emphasizing bold colours, compelling compositions, and crafting an honest narrative.

Henna’s beautiful outdoor pet and family photos inspired us to book a professional photoshoot for our pugs, Sonny and Mija, something we had been eager and needing to do for a while. This was our first experience with professional photography, and we were excited to capture these special moments and memories.
The communication and support from Henna prior to the shoot was outstanding! Her assistance in finding a location, providing reading materials on what to wear, what to expect, and how to prepare, as well as a phone consultation to go over questions and details, was invaluable. I was particularly grateful for Henna’s professional guidance — especially her pro tip about not wearing the same colour clothing as our dogs’ fur. Once we met and started the shoot, we felt at ease and comfortable. The fun we had was a direct result of being well-prepared and knowing what to expect, thanks to Henna’s prior support.
We had such a nice time during the shoot! Chatting throughout, it felt like we had known each other for years. I was so pleased with how the photos turned out. Henna picked such pretty landscape backgrounds. She was quick, professional, and kept the mood light and relaxed. We had so much fun that we hadn’t realized how long we had been shooting and were bummed when it had to come to an end. I love that we got involved in the photos and had family shots taken, they turned out incredibly sweet! I absolutely adore the outdoor photos of Sonny and Mija without harnesses. They look naturally beautiful and majestic against the backdrop. Their photos perfectly capture their sweetness, beauty, and genuinely happy expressions.
I was worried about Sonny and Mija not looking at the camera and being off-leash without harnesses to control and keep them safe, especially since they were very excited. However, Henna was incredibly sweet with them. They love people, and her interaction made them very happy. It calmed their excitement and helped them focus on her while she was shooting, which was fun! For the moments we wanted to shoot without harnesses, Henna was quick to get the shot. She gave us time to position the dogs and calm them down. She was patient with us, ensuring we could get the dogs to look at the camera.
Henna is guided, comfortable, personable, professional, kind, and patient. With the reading material she provided and her willingness to answer questions, I felt well-prepared and not at all nervous. This resulted in photos that truly capture our happiness and excitement.
